“Daughter of Bangladeshi Actor Pays Tribute with Timeless Rendition”

-

To celebrate the occasion of Durga Puja this year, Tahsin Farzana Tilottoma, the daughter of the renowned Bangladeshi actor Bulbul Ahmed, has recorded a special rendition of the timeless song “Janam Janam Dhore Prem Piyasi.” Originally featured in the movie “Devdas,” which starred Bulbul Ahmed and was based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s classic novel, the song has been released as part of the second season of “Mahanayoker Gaan,” sponsored by Seylon Tea.

Tilottoma has taken the lead on all six songs for this season, with the first track, “Duti Mon Jokhon Kachhe Elo” from the film “Sangini,” debuting on September 4 to coincide with Bulbul Ahmed’s birthday, receiving widespread acclaim from the audience.

The upcoming songs in this season include “Hajar Moner Kachhe Proshno Rekhe,” “Jonmo Theke Jolchhi Mago,” “Abar Dujone Dekha Holo,” and “Dukkho Bhalobese Premer Khela Khelte Hoy.”

The latest release was made available on Seylon Tea’s official YouTube channel starting from September 30. The organizers are optimistic that this fresh interpretation will rekindle the artistic legacy of Bulbul Ahmed for the viewers once again.

Tilottoma had previously collaborated on her father’s songs in 2013, releasing an album titled “Mahanayoker Gaan.” Subsequently, the project caught the attention of Seylon Tea, leading to the official launch of Season 1 in 2023.
