His son, Mirazul Moin Joy, shared in a recent media briefing that his father has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and is presently in London for treatment. The family became concerned when Ilias Kanchan started experiencing health complications earlier this year, prompting them to seek medical attention in Dhaka before deciding to pursue further treatment abroad.
Mirazul Moin Joy disclosed that Ilias Kanchan departed from Dhaka to London on April 26 and was promptly admitted to the Harley Street Clinic, where he is under the supervision of a neurosurgeon. A new phase of treatment is scheduled to commence shortly, lasting for six weeks, with a subsequent four-week monitoring period overseen by the medical team.
