After much speculation about their relationship, actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have officially announced their engagement. The news broke on social media on Friday, with Vijay’s team confirming the engagement to Hindustan Times on Saturday morning.
While specific details of the engagement remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that the couple will exchange vows in February 2026. Both Rashmika and Vijay have not publicly announced or shared any posts about their engagement.
The rumors of their romance initially surfaced after their collaboration in the hit movie “Geetha Govindam” in 2018, followed by another project together, “Dear Comrade,” in 2019. Their frequent appearances together, such as leading the 43rd India Day Parade in New York this August and attending the event Bharat Beyond Borders, have only added to the speculation about their relationship status. Fans have also noted their shared vacation photos from various destinations.
Although in 2024, both actors hinted at being in relationships without disclosing their partners, recent sightings of them leaving the airport together in the same car have reignited rumors about their relationship.
In terms of their professional endeavors, Rashmika’s latest appearance was in “Kuberaa” alongside Dhanush and Nagarjuna. Her upcoming projects include “Thamma,” a horror-comedy universe film from Maddock Films, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, scheduled for a Diwali 2025 release. She is also set to star in “Cocktail 2” with Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, as well as in Rahul Ravindran’s “The Girlfriend” and Rawindra Pulle’s “Mysaa.”
On the other hand, Vijay’s most recent appearance was in “Kingdom,” where he starred alongside Satyadev and Bhagyashree Borse. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film was produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
