French tennis player Nicolas Mahut bid an emotional farewell to his professional career after losing in the doubles at the Paris Masters. Mahut, 43, achieved five Grand Slam doubles titles during his 25-year career but is most famously remembered for the longest tennis match in history at Wimbledon in 2010 against American John Isner.
Lasting an astonishing 11 hours and five minutes across three days, the match set a new record, with the final set alone extending for eight hours and 11 minutes. Mahut concluded his tennis journey on home ground alongside Grigor Dimitrov, falling 6-4, 5-7, 10-4 to Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
