Bangladesh has entered a new era of music innovation with the debut of its initial fully AI-generated cinematic music video called “Nijhum Raat.” The song, performed by Susan Afzal, showcases lyrics and music composed by the artist himself, while the musical arrangement was done by Nomon. What sets this project apart is its visual presentation — each frame of the video was produced using artificial intelligence technology, maintaining the authentic appearance of the artists involved. Recently launched on YouTube, the video is also accessible on various local and international streaming services.
Susan Afzal shared insights on the production, stating, “The ‘Nijhum Raat’ video was entirely crafted through AI methods. All visual elements were constructed from genuine character images and refined during the editing process. This initiative marks Bangladesh’s initiation into a new phase of AI-driven music videos. We take pride in being the pioneers of this endeavor, and I am optimistic that audiences will recognize the dedication put into it.”
Nomon, the music director, commented, “The track falls within the melodic music genre, and we aimed to match its tone with gothic cinematic visuals. Developing a mainstream video solely through AI presented significant challenges, but Suzan’s artistic passion made it achievable. We anticipate that this innovative venture will strike a chord with the audience.”
Susan Afzal had previously introduced his first solo album “Andhar Periye” along with various singles. With “Nijhum Raat,” the artist continues to explore new realms by merging technology and sentiment to craft a unique musical journey.
