A sharp voice pronounces, “Truth may not be as it seems,” introducing Chorki’s flash fiction “Gerakol” with an enigmatic storyline. Intekhab Dinar takes on a new role as a painter in the project, joined by Samira Khan Mahi and Abu Hurayra Tanvir.
The teaser for “Gerakol” premiered on October 14, offering glimpses of campus life, justice, love, and the complexities of mistaken affections through its visuals and dialogues. Director Rakayet Rabby, drawing from real-life experiences, shares that while the story may hold familiar elements, the narrative is presented from a fresh angle to explore the enduring impacts of life events. Reflecting on student life and its aftermath, “Gerakol” aims to captivate audiences with its unique perspective.
Centered on a mystery-thriller plot, the storyline follows three key characters: Rimi, Anik, and Moshtak. As Rimi and Anik encounter Moshtak, an artist, during a holiday trip, their dynamic unravels, casting doubts on the authenticity of their relationships. To unravel the truth behind these connections, viewers are encouraged to tune in to “Gerakol” premiering on Chorki at 12:01 AM on October 16.
Samira Khan Mahi portrays Rimi, while Abu Hurayra Tanvir and Intekhab Dinar bring Anik and Moshtak to life. Actress Sushama Sarker takes on the role of Moshtak’s wife, supported by Humaira Snigdha, Shihab, and Sadi Shuvo in the cast.
