“Erdogan Thanks Trump for Gaza Ceasefire Deal”

-

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his contentment on Thursday over the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza. He extended his gratitude towards Donald Trump for playing a role in facilitating an end to the conflict.

Erdogan shared his satisfaction, stating, “I am pleased with the ceasefire in Gaza resulting from the Hamas-Israel discussions. I particularly appreciate the political determination shown by US President Trump to push the Israeli government towards this ceasefire,” via his official online platform.

Turkey, actively engaged in the negotiation process and having dispatched a team to participate in the talks held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, emphasized its commitment to closely oversee the enforcement of the agreement.

The imminent signing of the agreement in Egypt on Thursday will include the release of the remaining hostages, marking a significant advancement towards concluding the prolonged two-year conflict that has claimed numerous lives and triggered a humanitarian crisis.
