The Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JnUcsu) election schedule will be officially disclosed tomorrow, along with the finalized code of conduct, as confirmed by university officials today. Professor Mostafa Hasan, the Chief Election Commissioner, announced the upcoming announcement at noon, stating that the election timetable and polling date for JnUcsu will be revealed tomorrow. The final code of conduct is also set to be released simultaneously. Prof Mostafa mentioned that all necessary details will be provided during the official briefing scheduled for tomorrow, refraining from further comments at the moment. Regarding the concerns raised by student organizations, the chief election commissioner acknowledged that they have been heard but declined to elaborate on them presently. Earlier, on October 30, a draft code of conduct was issued, mandating drug tests for all candidates. In a recent meeting held on Sunday, the JnUcsu Election Commission discussed the code with student leaders and campus journalists to receive input and deliberate on potential election dates. The university established a five-member election commission on October 29, with Prof Mostafa Hasan, the chairman of the Department of Social Work, appointed as the chief election commissioner.
