Russian President Vladimir Putin announced yesterday that Russia successfully conducted a test of the Poseidon nuclear-capable super torpedo. Both US and Russian officials have labeled Poseidon as a novel retaliatory weapon capable of inducing radioactive ocean disturbances to make coastal cities uninhabitable, according to reports by Reuters. In another development, a Russian assault on a children’s hospital in southern Ukraine resulted in the injury of at least nine individuals, including four children, as per Ukrainian authorities who condemned the incident as a “war crime.” The attack occurred in Kherson, a location that continues to experience frequent shelling and drone attacks by Moscow’s forces situated across the Dnipro river.
