ONE Bank PLC has been awarded an esteemed certification from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) via Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd, a France-based certification body. The certification acknowledges the bank’s adherence to the ISO standard, which outlines the criteria for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) conducted an audit of ONE Bank’s IT operations, data center, and disaster recovery site to ensure alignment with the ISO/IEC standard. In a recent event at the bank’s corporate headquarters, Sohel Azad, the country manager of Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd, presented the certification to Shabbir Ahmed, the managing director (current charge) of ONE Bank PLC.
Moreover, ONE Bank has held ISO certification since 2022. The ceremony was attended by John Sarkar, adviser of ONE Securities Limited (a subsidiary of ONE Bank), Md Anwarul Islam, deputy managing director and head of legal affairs and recovery division, as well as other senior officials from ONE Bank, iota, and Bureau Veritas.
