A Bengali rock concert named “Ghor Chhara Ek Shukhi Chele” is scheduled for November 7 at the Falls Church auditorium in Virginia, USA, in honor of the renowned musician Ayub Bachchu. Part of the DMV Bangla Rock Festival series, the event aims to celebrate Ayub Bachchu’s enduring songs, dynamic vocals, and captivating guitar performances beloved by fans of all ages.
Various bands like Bibagi, Cronage, Jotil, Shadow Dreams, and Rafi Alam & his band will pay homage to the rock legend by performing his iconic tracks. Notably, former LRB member SI Tutul will grace the stage alongside Swapan, a founding member and bassist of LRB, who will appear as a special guest. Rosario Mediaworks is the organizer of this event.
The concert, according to the planners, will kick off at 7pm local time and extend late into the night. In addition to musical acts, the evening will feature recitations, discussions, and other special segments. A significant moment of the event will be the reunion of Ayub Bachchu’s longtime bandmates, Swapan and Tutul, performing in memory of their departed colleague and friend.
Simultaneously, the Ayub Bachchu Foundation has initiated several programs to uphold and advance the late musician’s heritage among the youth. Their endeavors encompass the establishment of a memory museum, arrangement of tribute concerts, bestowal of accolades in his honor, and the release of nearly 200 previously unreleased songs.
Abdullah Al Masud, the general secretary of the Ayub Bachchu Foundation, expressed, “Our sole objective is to perpetuate Ayub Bachchu’s legacy in people’s hearts through the love he shared with them.” Similarly, the Foundation’s chairperson, Ferdaus Akhtar Chandana, along with their children, Fairooz Safra Ayub and Ahnnaf Tazwar Ayub, echoed this sentiment.
