Robbie Williams makes shock confession about wheelchair users at concert

-

Robbie Williams has made a shocking confession after admitting he once criticised wheelchair users for not standing at his gig.

The former Take That man, 50, explained how the mishap has to be one of his most embarrassing moments on stage. Robbie claimed to try to redeem himself in the moment by singing his hit tune, Angels.

He also confessed to having “pooped his pants” on stage following a bout of food poisoning in the honest chat with Andy Cohen. The singer was appearing on the host’s version of Watch What Happens Live when he opened up on his embarrassing moments.

He said: “‘It’s not the most embarrassing thing that happened. But yes, I did poop myself on stage because of food poisoning.” He later confessed to his “long story” regarding his most embarrassing story.

“Basically I confused the wheelchair section in my show for people that weren’t standing up and enjoying themselves,” he said. “And I berated them and I got the whole audience to point at them and boo and stamp their feet and go, ‘Out, out, out!'”

Only after his manager backstage pointed out the situation did Robbie discover his error, he said. “The way you get out of that is a ballad, definitely a ballad, definitely by doing Angels,” he joked. “This happened before phones,” he said with a relieved tone.

The confessions come as Robbie continues to try to crack America. His dreams however were dealt a huge blow as his Better Man biopic failed to impress the US audience. The project tells the star’s dramatic rise to fame, from huge boyband sensation to best-selling solo artist. His character is played by a CGI monkey.

However, despite quickly receiving a 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it has fallen extremely short of its target stateside.

His next move could be his own reality TV show with wife Ayda Field Williams. It’s emerged that for the past five years, bosses behind the Real Housewives franchise have been attempting to have Robbie and his wife Ayda sign up for the programme.

It comes after show bosses confirmed that following the success of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, bosses are set to launch The Real Housewives of London to replace Ladies of London, which followed the lives of the likes of Caroline Stanbury, Annabelle Neilson, Caprice Bourret, Caroline Fleming, Juliet Montagu and Noelle Reno.

Joking about an appearance, Robbie told Andy “I would [take part].” Ayda then commented: “I mean, he would be the House Husband of Beverly Hills!”
