‘I’m a beauty writer and there’s a way to get £150 worth of treats for £13 with LookFantastic’

-

Spending heaps of money on beauty products that TikTok or Instagram users say are great doesn’t always mean that you’ll love them. And that’s why LookFantastic’s monthly boxes are a great way to try out products, without forking out for the full cost..

The beauty giant’s subscription service, which launched over a decade ago, has long been a popular way for makeup and skincare enthusiasts to treat themselves each month. And by signing up for the January edition of The Box, shoppers could save more than £150 on a range of cult-loved products and little-known brands.

Inside the January box, shoppers can expect to find a selection of premium brands and products, such as the Elemis Cleansing Balm. This is a firm favourite among our beauty writers thanks to its melting formula that breaks down makeup and dirt to leave skin feeling clean, soft and hydrated.

There are also five other products across skin, hair, and body essentials starring in the box, which boasts a value of over £105. As well as the cleanser, there’s also a Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, Dr Paw Paw’s relatively new Facial Mist, Sumbum Lip Balm, This Works Perfect Legs Body Butter, Peter Thomas Roth FirmX Eye Gel and a Lancôme Génifique Serum Sachet.

If you haven’t tried the service before, it costs £15 for a one-month subscription and £13 if you commit to 12 months. Plus, as an added bonus, Lookfantastic is offering a free welcome beauty box worth more than £50 when you subscribe to one of their monthly plans — what a treat.

With a 12-month subscription, you’ll also get free premier delivery worth £9.90. That means shoppers can essentially pay for their yearly subscription and be treated to over £163 worth of goodies delivered to their door.

The contents of the box is typically a surprise, and on occasion, some subscribers have said there can be too much crossover between brands and products between monthly boxes. In addition, there’s always a chance you might receive a product that isn’t suitable for you – though it could be someone else’s favourite.

Alternatively, LookFantastic has launched The Glow ‘n’ Go Edit, which costs £35, but is worth around three times the price you pay. Designed for ‘achieving a radiant complexion all in one bag’ the edit is worth ‘over £130’. That means beauty enthusiasts save at least £95 on the contents, making for a purse-friendly post-Christmas deal.

Inside, shoppers will find eight hydration heroes that work to ‘brighten, elevate, and protect your skin’, with each one working out at £4.38. It’s pretty impressive seeing as the featured REN Clean Skincare Radiance Brighten Dark Circle Eye Cream is worth £49 alone – that’s £14 more than the cost of the entire box, essentially making the remaining products free.

In other beauty deals, The Luxe Edit Beauty Box at Next has a total value of £228, but is priced at £50, saving around 78% on the RRP. Inside are eight beauty and skincare treats, including five full sized products designed to refresh your regime and your skin for the New Year.

If you prefer something even more budget friendly and well-rounded, M&S has the Beauty Wellness Box, priced at £30. This contains 10 products that have a combined value of over £100, which work out at £3 each as part of the deal. Inside, shoppers will find a range of wellness classics and new launches, including luxuriously rich creams, a restorative hair treatment, a self-care beauty tool, calming candle, restful fragrance, and more.
