Charlotte Crosby’s fiancé Jake Ankers joked he was disappointed to learn he is to be the father of a second daughter.
The 34-year-old Goerdie Shore star has been in a relationship with businessman Jake since 2021 and together they share a daughter named Alba who arrived in October 2022. Charlotte and 24-year-old Jake have been engaged in November 2023 and are expected to welcome their second child this month.
The couple embraced the popular decision to hold a gender reveal party – during which they discovered they are set to welcome a second daughter. Fans were amused when Jake reacted with mock horror over the news – and he posted a message on Instagram decrying: “Ahhh s**t, here we go again!”
Charlotte has now revealed that Jake did hope they would be expecting a boy the second time around – but is happy to be preparing for a second daughter instead. She admitted to the Mirror: “He wanted a boy so bad. I don’t want to ruin his reaction – because it was a big one, but we’re filming a TV show at the minute and we filmed the whole gender reveal, so I don’t want to give too much away, but he was devastated.”
But she added: “Now, he’s come round to the idea, so it’s all good.” In her chat, Charlotte went on to explain that she can’t wait to welcome her daughter – as it will mean her pregnancy will finally be over.
She said: “I’m so ready to have this baby now. I can’t wait. I’ve been throwing up all morning! I was still being sick right up until I had my first baby, and it’s been the same this time. I actually hadn’t been sick for about three weeks, and I thought it was over – but then, wow, this morning it hit me like a ton of bricks.”
Fans can no doubt expect Charlotte to document the arrival of her second child – as she gave regular updates after welcoming her first daughter. In an emotional update after the arrival of her first daughter, Charlotte wrote via Instagram: “The day we met our Alba Jeanies will remain the most special day of my whole entire life.
“I think all parents will agree what a feeling! What an experience! I would redo that whole birthing experience every single day over and over and over again! And the fact I got to watch it all on #CharlotteInSunderland yesterday well wow goosebumps absolutely EVERYWHERE! I want to say a huge thank you to of course @emekaokaro who saved my life all them years back and then brought my new life into the world.”
She went on to thank the medical experts that had helped throughout her pregnancy. She wrote at the time: “Charlotte continued by saying thank you to everyone who helped her on the journey: ‘Throughout our whole pregnancy journey dr Okaro you made us feel at ease, you have left a lasting in-print in our memories! @michaela.paul.x THANKYOU for being at the end of the phone whenever I needed help! And making our birth so special and accommodating.
“THANKYOU to all of the nurses and staff that truly made our start the parenthood a perfect one! – THANKYOU @chatterbox_media who put together a very tumultuous year, sensitively, beautifully and made it I think we can all agree a very warm, relatable show!
