Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have fuelled speculation they’re back together with a series of clues.
The couple, who met on ITV2 dating show Love Island back in 2019, called time on their five-year relationship in July, and they confirmed the shock split with emotional statements on social media. “After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not in this way,” Molly-Mae wrote, as she asked fans to “kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time.”
Just a few weeks later, it was rumoured the former couple had been enjoying cosy nights together at their lavish Cheshire mansion as they co-parented their one-year-old daughter Bambi. And after Tommy was booed when he appeared at the Anthony Joshua fight last weekend, he seemingly sent a message to his former fiancee in a video on YouTube.
Sharing footage of one of his training sessions, eagle-eyed fans spotted he was wearing his gold promise ring he got before he popped the question to Molly-Mae last year. “Is it me or is Tommy just doing these videos to impress Molly hoping she will watch them and try to prove to her that he will better himself in hope she will take him back, also he’s still wearing his ring,” one commented on the video, as another asked: “When are you and Molly getting back together?”
“Nice to see your still wearing your ring maybe there’s still hope and good to see you back training,” another wrote in the comments of the video, as one fan clarified: “It’s a promise ring not an engagement ring he’s been wearing it long before they were engaged.”
After the news of their breakup was announced, Tommy moved out of the home he shared with Molly-Mae and Bambi, and moved into a £15,000-a-month property near to his family. While some sources close to the couple shot down reports of them reuniting, Molly-Mae gave the biggest clue yet when she shared a snap on Instagram just one month after their split.
The snap showed the 25-year-old influencer posing in a co-ord set from her fashion brand Maebe, and fans were quick to spot the huge diamond engagement ring was back on her finger. “The engagement ring is back on……. could the make or break trip to the Maldives be true,” one wrote in the comments, as another pointed out: “8th slide [engagement ring emoji] back on.”
However, some suggested that the photo could be from before they broke up, as Molly-Mae has been planning and designing her debut collection for months. “Probably an old picture,” one commented.
Juggling the demands of work with being a mum to her two-year-old daughter Bambi, who she shares with Tommy, has kept the star busy. Despite not revealing why they split after looking so in love just days before, Molly-Mae Hague recently opened up about this new chapter in her life as she talked about “entering a new era.” She has been finding fresh confidence through her latest project and acknowledges how much she’s evolved since Bambi’s arrival.
Speaking with MailOnline, Molly confided: “When I became a mum, I changed a lot as a person and different things became important to me in terms of fashion, it was the right time to launch Maebe. I was really ready to sink my teeth into something new. I have a really good feeling about this new era of my life and think it’s going to be so special and a great thing for me to focus on and put my time into as well as being a mum to Bambi.”
Almost six months after their shock split, rumours of a reunion began to swirl again when Molly-Mae and Tommy were recently spotted out and about in Manchester together as they took Bambi on a co-parenting play date. Just days later, the pair were then filmed sharing a passionate New Year’s Eve kiss as they celebrated the arrival of 2025 with their close friends.
Following their New Year’s kiss, fans have become suspicious that the pair have been together all along, and that the split was cleverly orchestrated in a bid to dramatise Molly-Mae’s upcoming documentary with Amazon Prime. Titled Molly-Mae: Behind It All, the social media superstar has told fans that she is finally ready to share why she and Tommy split – despite vowing just a couple of months ago that she would never delve into why they called off their engagement.
However, Molly-Mae has since denied that she and Tommy split was part of a PR stunt. During the premiere of her upcoming documentary Molly-Mae: Behind It All, the mother-of-one opened up about her relationship with the father of her daughter.
She told Mail Online: “I actually say in the documentary that I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier… That for me above everything has been the most frustrating part.
“Because going through all of this with the turmoil of a breakup has been incredibly hard. To have those comments and I do see the comments, I see all of them, and people saying ‘this has obviously just been done for the launch of her brand or a publicity stunt’ that is very painful to read because it’s real life.
“Tommy and I have a baby together and it’s very, very real. It’s a really hard thing that we have both gone through the past six months. I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would have been a lot easier, but it isn’t, and I think this documentary will clear up any questions of that. You see the real side to it; it’s like you’re a fly on the wall and I think people will be quite surprised by how honest we have been.”
It comes as Tommy claimed this week that the reason they broke up was due to his drinking problems. Finally addressing the reason why they broke up after almost six months of silence, Tommy told Men’s Health that the reason behind their break-up was because he had a “problem with alcohol” .
“I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,” he told the magazine, adding: “Cheating was never a thing. You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing,” he said.
