Two Love Island legends have made themselves eligible for the All Stars season as Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page call time on their relationship.
The former couple, who seemed inseparable since their stint in the villa and even sparked engagement gossip, have surprisingly ended their relationship almost three years on from first meeting thanks to the ITV2 dating series.
Tasha, fresh from competing in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing where she danced her way to the 2024 final with pro Aljaž Škorjanec, is now preparing for the UK tour. Amidst the breakup, the 26 year old reality star has reportedly set up a profile on the elite dating app Raya, using snaps she previously posted on Instagram in December.
Their split has come as a surprise to many given the former couple recently purchased a house together and looked to be heading towards marriage. As fans mourn Tasha and Andrew’s break-up, we take a look at all the reasons the reality TV stars decided to uncouple.
When a celebrity signs up to appear on Strictly Come Dancing they risk putting their relationship to the test, if the dreaded ‘Strictly curse’ is to be believed. Since launching two decades ago, the BBC series has seen its fair share of romantic affairs, splits and even divorces.
Before taking to the famous dancefloor with Aljaž Škorjanec last year, Tasha was seemingly adamant the curse wouldn’t impact her relationship with Andrew, stating: “Andrew, to me, is the hottest man on this whole planet. I look at him and I’m like: ‘Yeah, that’s my man’. Me and Andrew trust each other 100 per cent It’s not a make-or-break for us. We’re going to breeze through this because we’re going to marry each other one day, you know.”
But it turns out Tasha and Andrew’s relationship started to suffer as she waltzed herself to the final last month. A source spilled to the Sun: “Tasha was madly in love with Andrew but the cracks started to show when she appeared on Strictly,” adding that “She gave her all in that competition. Her focus was purely on her dances with Aljaz and that drove a wedge between them as time went by.”
It seems the Strictly tour will keep Tasha away from Andrew once more, and the couple reportedly discussed going their separate ways at the beginning of January after hitting a rough patch. Despite once dubbing Andrew her “future husband” and shrugging off fears of the notorious Strictly curse, it appears their love story has reached its final chapter.
Tasha and Andrew’s relationship may have looked picture perfect before their split but their romance wasn’t without its challenges; they previously faced a massive cheating scandal during their stint on Love Island back in the summer of 22.
When Casa Amor turned up the heat in Love Island, both Andrew and Tasha succumbed to temptation. Andrew’s fling with influencer Coco Lodge sparked one of the show’s most talked-about scenes. Despite his coupling with Tasha, Andrew ‘explored’ things with Coco, leading to some steamy moments beneath the sheets while Tasha was away from the main villa.
Upon her return, Andrew came clean about his dalliance, famously admitting that he had “licked her t** or whatever”, worried one of the boys might spill the beans first. The pair managed to move past the very awkward moment, with Tasha even poking fun at the iconic line months later.
As Love Island returned for the winter series in January 2023, one fans shared the infamous of clip of Andrew coming clean to Tasha about “licking at t** or whatever”, captioning it: “It will never be better than this tbh.” Showing she was certainly unfazed by the memory, Tasha quote-tweeted the original post and admitted: “Deceased. It’s gonna stay with us forever.”
Despite Tasha and Andrew’s split coming as a surprise to many fans, all the signs were clear to see. Strictly star Tasha, who was Love Island’s first ever deaf star, hasn’t posted a solo snap with Andrew on her Instagram account since November, when they attended the Wicked premiere.
The reality TV star kept her fans updated on her Strictly journey on Instagram last month and is now giving behind-the-scenes insights as she prepares to go on tour with the BBC show. Meanwhile, Andrew – who worked as an estate agent before appearing on Love Island – has been keeping busy with house renovations.
