We’ve reached the final few days of the January transfer window and big money could be spent over the coming days.
Premier League clubs are scrambling around for signings, none more so than Manchester United. The Red Devils are close to completing a move for Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu, though they face a wait over the Lecce star, and there’s plenty of attention on exits with Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford having uncertain futures at Old Trafford.
Argentine forward Garnacho has been linked with Chelsea. But they could face competition from Napoli as they attempt to strike a deal. Both clubs have also been linked with Karim Adeyemi during the window, but it remains to be seen what happens between now and Monday’s deadline day.
Arsenal could also be busy over the coming days, with Mikel Arteta desperate to sign a new striker. The Gunners have had a £60million bid for Ollie Watkins rejected by Aston Villa and they may return with an improved offer, while there has also been talk around Brazilian frontman Igor Jesus.
Jhon Duran, meanwhile, is closing in on a move to Al-Nassr despite interest from other Premier League clubs. Villa are unlikely to want to sell both Duran and Watkins, but we’ll be keeping an eye on things around Villa Park as Unai Emery’s side consider a bid for Chelsea’s Joao Felix.
