Daily Dhaka Times: The first ever System Admin Conference in Bangladesh organized by the Bangladesh System Administrators’ Forum (BDSAF), a national level community organization of engineers working in System Administrations at different companies, held at a Daffodil International University (DIU) at Dhanmondi in the capital on Saturday.
Some registered 100 engineers from different companies and 20 students of DIU engineering discipline attended here as under a free fellowship.
DIU Vice Chancellor Prof Yousuf Mahbubul Islam inaugurated the day-long conference while, Head of CES dept. of BUET & President of Bangladesh Computer Society Professor Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam and Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIK) Co-Chairman Sumon Ahmed Sabir were special guests at the inaugural session with BDSAF Founder and BRAC ICT Infrastructure In-charge Jobayer Almahmud Hossain in chair.
Keynote speaker Sumon Ahmed Sabir said, “The working area of system engineers is growing in pace of technology. The Engineers should have innovative power that will bring specialty to them. Besides, sharing with community helps us to enrich and bridge knowledge gap through organization like BDSAF.”
BDSAF Founder Jobayer Almahmud Hossain said that the main focusing areas of the organization are networking among the system engineers, knowledge sharing on system engineering and building a bonded community on this sector.
There are different sessions held at the conference on specific issues related to System Administration including sessions on cloud computing, data management, system admin operations, career as system administrator as different professional topic regarding this.
