Police officers’ sickening reaction caught on camera after cocktail explodes in woman’s face

This is the sickening moment police officers were heard laughing while watching CCTV bar footage of a cocktail exploding in a woman’s face.
A 20-year-old woman, who has not been named, was at the Courtside Bar and Grill in Binghamton, New York, on December 27 at around 10.45pm when she was engulfed in flames after the drink was lit on fire before being served. Two other people were left with minor injuries following the distressing incident.
An unnamed police officer has been suspended for leaking CCTV footage of the shocking clip, as voices in the background can be heard laughing and commenting on the distressing clip.
‘That was f***king awesome,’ a voice is heard saying at the start of the footage. “She was just there celebrating her 21st birthday, ” another adds before they watch the explosion.

“Maybe they did switch it out with a f***king Vietnam flamethrower,” another remarks. “That looks like it stuck to her like napalm,” a third man adds.
It is unclear if one of the men heard laughing in the footage is the officer suspended. The clip showed a woman sitting at a bar when a fire breaks out in front of her face and another customer. She jumps up and tries to pat the flames on her chest and head, as the other person rolls on the ground.
The 20-year-old woman was rushed to hospital, while the others were treated at the scene for their minor burns. Police have charged bartender Camlyn Lyons, 28, of Vestal with unlawful sale of alcohol to a person under 18.

“The Binghamton Police Department’s Office of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into the unauthorized sharing of video evidence from the December 27 fire at 56 Court St., subsequently posted on social media,” Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham told WBNG. “As a result of that ongoing investigation, a patrol officer has been suspended — without pay — indefinitely.
“I anticipate further disciplinary action for the suspended officer and for any other officer found to have violated department policy. I will reserve additional comment until the investigation is complete. But I’m taking this matter very seriously.”
