Platoon trump Sylhet despite Mosaddek’s unbeaten 60

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza’s Dhaka Platoon picked up their second consecutive win in the BBPL, defeating Sylhet Thunder by 24 runs today.

Asked to bat first, Platoon put on 182 for four on the board, with the opening pair of Anamul Haque and Tamim Iqbal starring in a 85-run partnership. Anamul was in good touch, hitting a 42-ball 62 while Tamim 31. Thisara Perera (22 off 1) and Wahab Riaz (17 off 7) took Dhaka to a challenging total with some hefty blows in the death overs.

In reply, Sylhet kept losing momentum due to regular fall of wickets and skipper Mosaddek Hossain’s unbeaten 44-ball 60 was not enough in the end to secure victory. Mashrafe and Hasan Mahmud both bagged two wickets each for Dhaka.
