OpenAI has appointed Denise Dresser, who previously served as the CEO of the messaging platform Slack, as its new Chief Revenue Officer. In her new role, Dresser will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global revenue strategy, which includes managing its enterprise business and customer support operations. Prior to joining OpenAI, Dresser led Slack after its acquisition by Salesforce and has extensive experience in global sales leadership at Salesforce for more than ten years.
The decision to bring Dresser on board aligns with the trend of companies transitioning from testing AI tools to integrating them across their entire organizations. According to OpenAI’s internal data, 75% of employees utilizing its AI solutions have reported enhancements in work speed and quality, resulting in time savings of 40 to 60 minutes daily for many users. The data also indicates that AI technology is enabling employees to accomplish new types of tasks.
In her statement, Dresser expressed anticipation in leveraging her background in scaling major platforms to drive OpenAI’s enterprise growth initiatives.
