Bangladesh Television is initiating the latest round of auditions for its renowned talent competition “Notun Kuri,” which is the first reality show in South Asia aimed at discovering young talents nationwide. The regional auditions are set to take place from September 24 to September 29, with participants who receive the “Yes Card” advancing to the divisional round from October 4 to October 11. The auditions, running from 9 am to 6 pm, may extend beyond those times to accommodate all registered contestants. Audition dates will be communicated to applicants via SMS. Successful divisional participants will progress to compete at various stages at the BTV Dhaka Centre.
This year’s edition of the competition will feature nine categories including acting, recitation, storytelling/comedy, general dance/classical dance, patriotic songs/modern songs, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, folk music, and Hamd-Naat. Contestants will be categorized into two age groups: Group A (6–11 years) and Group B (11–15 years).
The auditions will be held at various cultural venues nationwide, such as BTV’s Dhaka Centre and other locations including Faridpur Shishu Academy, Mymensingh Shilpakala Academy, Sylhet Shilpakala Academy, and more. Divisional rounds will take place at designated venues corresponding to each region, such as BTV Dhaka Centre for Dhaka Division, Mymensingh Shilpakala Academy for Mymensingh Division, and so on.
