North Shore has dropped on ITVX but when will it debut on ITV and who joins actress Joanne Froggatt in the murder mystery drama?
Vera may be done and dusted with but there is another detective series for fans to get their teeth into, set in Australia but with some familiar British actors taking centre stage.
Here’s everything there is to know about North Shore including start date, episode count and what to expect.
North Shore was originally released in Australia in 2023 with UK fans now being treated to the six-episode drama on Sunday, December 29, on the streamer ITVX.
The show will also be debuting on ITV on Saturday, January 4, at 9.30pm with a single episode dropping every week thereafter.
Leading the cast as Abigail Crawford is actress Joanne Froggatt who is known for her work in Downton Abbey, Sherwood, Liar, Angela Black and Breathtaking.
Meanwhile, actor John Bradley is Detective Max Drummond, and will be best recognised for playing Samwell Tarly in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
But more recently, he was behind Jack Rooney in Netflix ’s sci-fi drama 3 Body Problem.
Froggatt and Bradley are joined by Thirteen Lives’ Kirsty Sturgess, Paper Giants’ Rob Carlton, Interceptor’s Rhys Muldoorn, Frayed star Matt Passmore, as well as Surviving Summer’s Chris Alosio.
North Shore is a murder mystery about a British and Australian detective who are forced to work together on the murder investigation of a UK politician’s daughter in Sydney.
The official description reads: “Set on and around Sydney Harbour, North Shore follows the clash of cultures when a British and an Australian detective team up to solve a complex murder mystery and uncover a conspiracy with international political consequences.”
So far, there has been no word on if there will be a second season on the way for North Shore fans.
North Shore premieres on Saturday, January 4, at 9.30pm on ITV.
