The country has been witnessing a mild to moderate heatwave in several regions on Wednesday, and it may continue. 

“Mild to moderate heatwave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet divisions, and over the regions of Rangamati and Saidpur, and it may continue at some places,” said Bangladesh Meteorological Department’s daily weather bulletin on Wednesday. 

It mentioned that the heatwave comes as the trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area while seasonal low lies over South Bay. 

The bulletin added that weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. 

According to the bulletin, day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The sun sets at 6:17pm today and rises at 5:43am tomorrow in the capital.
