Mercantile Bank PLC has recently entered into a cash management agreement with Esquire Electronics Limited, a prominent electrical and electronic manufacturing company based in Bangladesh. The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony held at Mercantile Bank’s headquarters in Dhaka.
Key executives involved in the agreement included Md Zahid Hossain, the deputy managing director and chief business officer of Mercantile Bank PLC, and Arifur Rahman, the managing director of Esquire Electronics Limited. The event was graced by Mati Ul Hasan, the managing director of the bank, who attended as the chief guest.
As per the terms of the agreement, Mercantile Bank will extend its cash management services to Esquire Electronics and its clientele through various channels such as the bank’s branches, sub-branches, agent outlets, the Rainbow mobile banking app, and the MyCash mobile financial service. This initiative aims to make the services easily accessible to all Esquire Electronics outlets nationwide.
The signing ceremony was also attended by other key figures, including Zakir Hossain and Ashim Kumar Saha, deputy managing directors of the bank; Mohammad Faruque Ahmmed, head of corporate banking; KM Anowarul Islam, head of corporate liability and cash management; Ashim Kumar Saha, head of retail banking; Darpan Kanti Roy, head of agent and mobile banking; and Al Mansur, the manager of Tejgaon Gulshan Link Road Branch.
Representatives from Esquire Electronics Limited, including Abdullah-Al-Rashed, the general manager (finance and accounts), and Syed Rabiul Islam, the senior manager (business development and showroom operations), along with other senior officials from both organizations, were also present at the event.
