“Mehidy Hasan Miraz Climbs ODI Rankings After Stellar Performance”

Bangladesh’s captain, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, has seen a significant rise in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings due to his impressive performance in the recent three-match ODI series against Pakistan. Mehidy, an all-rounder, took five wickets in the series, helping Bangladesh secure a 2-1 victory. As a result, he climbed nine positions to reach the seventh spot on the ODI bowlers’ rankings and moved up two places to the second spot on the ODI all-rounders’ list.

Other players from the Bangladesh team also witnessed notable improvements in the rankings. Tanzid Hasan jumped 31 places to 55th, Litton Das moved up 10 spots to 82nd in the ODI batters’ rankings, while Taskin Ahmed climbed 12 places to 28th and Mustafizur Rahman rose by 13 positions to 47th in the ODI bowlers’ rankings.

Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha also made progress, advancing nine places to rank joint ninth in the ODI batters’ list and moving up three spots to joint 10th in the ODI all-rounders’ rankings. Pakistan’s skipper, Shaheen Afridi, improved by four places to share the 25th spot in the all-rounders’ rankings following his commendable bowling performances.

In the T20I rankings, New Zealand’s captain, Mitchell Santner, made significant strides after his stellar performances in the first two matches against South Africa. Santner, who had a strong showing in the recent T20 World Cup, climbed 11 positions to reach 13th in the T20I bowlers’ rankings and advanced two spots to jointly hold the seventh position in the T20I all-rounders’ list.

Teammate Lockie Ferguson rose by 18 places to 51st in the T20I bowlers’ rankings, while Devon Conway moved up four spots to 70th in the T20I batters’ rankings, which is led by India’s Abhishek Sharma.

South Africa’s George Linde excelled in the second match against New Zealand, gaining 11 places to reach 23rd in the T20I all-rounders’ rankings. Ottneil Baartman also made progress, climbing 23 places to 73rd in the T20I bowlers’ rankings.
