“Mahi to Star in Jaaz Multimedia’s ‘Ontorjami’ Action Film”

-

Jaaz Multimedia made an exciting announcement yesterday revealing that Mahi is set to star in a new action film titled “Ontorjami,” to be directed by Saikat Nasir. After a considerable hiatus from acting, Mahi is making a comeback to the silver screen with this highly anticipated project, following her last appearance in Badiul Alam Khokon’s “Officer in Charge.”

Having kickstarted her acting journey in 2012 with Jaaz’s film “Bhalobashar Rong,” which propelled her to instant stardom, Mahi has since been part of numerous successful films under Jaaz, notably the well-received “Agnee” series.

“Ontorjami,” described by Jaaz Multimedia as a “lady action movie,” will break the norm by featuring Mahi as the sole lead without a male counterpart. This action-packed film, akin to her previous hits “Agnee” and “Agnee 2,” will revolve around Mahi’s character alongside a nine-year-old child named Mabshu. The filming locations span across multiple international destinations such as Bangladesh, Thailand, and the United States, with action sequences curated by renowned action director Baba Yadav from Kolkata.

While drawing parallels to “Agnee 2,” “Ontorjami” is set to carve its path as a standalone narrative, focusing on the theme of survival rather than revenge, as clarified by the production house. Promising to ramp up the thrill and action quotient compared to its predecessors, the film is slated to commence shooting in January 2026 in the United States before moving on to Thailand and then Bangladesh. Action director Baba Yadav will once again spearhead the choreography of the high-octane action sequences.

For Mahi, this return to Jaaz Multimedia, the platform that kickstarted her career over a decade ago, holds significant sentimental value and marks a pivotal moment in her professional trajectory. With fans and industry insiders eagerly anticipating the success of this comeback venture, all eyes are set on the film’s release next year to witness Mahi’s on-screen magic once again.
