Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is back in the villa – and has been set a very important task.
All Stars fans were stunned to see the former Love Island winner back in the villa tonight after a surprise return. The Mirror revealed this week that Ekin-Su was making a huge return to the villa.
A source told us yesterday that bosses are hopeful her appearance will “ruffle feathers”. The insider shared: “A huge entrance is planned for Ekin-Su. She’s one of the biggest stars from previous series so it’s only right she gets an entrance worthy of that. It’s been kept under wraps and it’s hoped her sudden appearance will ruffle some feathers and add further drama to the show.”
Tonight, fans were left speechless as Ekin-Su made her return to the villa. As host Maya Jama welcomed her back, Ekin-Su was told she would need to choose between the six boys on who she wanted to steal from another of the girls.
However, she was encouraged to “try before she buys” and was asked to pick who she wanted to go on a date with. She had three choices out of the six male Islanders – Scott, Curtis, Marcel, Luca, Nas and Ronnie.
Ekin-Su has been open about her time on Love Island, where she met partner Davide Sanclimenti. The pair won the show in 2022 and dated for around a year, before they split amid cheating allegations. The pair got back together but eventually split in early 2024.
However, Ekin-Su reportedly set a huge demand before heading in the villa – Davide would not be allowed to return. “Ekin’s negotiations to do All Stars were lengthy as she was indecisive, but eventually she told bosses she would sign on the dotted line with one major condition – they had to agree not to put Davide in the villa at any point as a bombshell,” a source told The Sun.
“This wasn’t Ekin being a diva, it’s more than she went through hell towards the end of the relationship and during the break up. A lot of that played out with how she came across on Celebrity Big Brother and she has only just got back to a good place in the last few months. The last thing she wants is to have to be in a villa.”
Executive producer Mike Spencer had previously teased a huge new opener to the show. He warned: “We have a brand new opener. Maya doesn’t even know what’s going to happen. It’s a really exciting and totally new way of starting the series. There will be lots of new things in episode one and it will feel very different to Love Island or All Stars. There will be tons of twists and turns planned.”
