Love Island star Scott Thomas’ twin addresses fix claims after Ekin-Su bombshell

-

Scott Thomas has entered the Love Island All Stars villa this year, and both his famous brothers have had something to say about it.

On Monday 13 January, Scott’s older brother Ryan shared his family’s reaction to Scott’s first day on the dating show, as they watched him coupling up with India. The family, including Ryan’s wife Lucy Mecklenburgh and Scott’s twin brother Adam, then looked on with shock as Ekin-Su arrived at the South African villa as a bombshell and they saw Scott whisper to India: “She slid into my DMs a few times.”

Adam then discussed Scott’s appearance when he was a guest on This Morning on Wednesday, following a discussion on the show about his arthritis diagnosis. Asked by presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about how he felt about his brother being on All Stars, Adam said: “It’s brilliant, the whole family got together and we watched the first episode. It was just amazing and I’m so happy for him.”

“I just want him to be happy, I want him to enjoy it,” he added, revealing that Scott kept his upcoming appearance on the series a secret from most people. “When he was first going in he didn’t really want to tell anybody because he was scared that people were going to talk him out of it.”

“He’s just doing what he wanted to do, and I can’t wait to see him fall in love,” he added. Ben then asked Adam about rumours that the show has been fixed, with many of the stars already knowing each other away from the villa.

“I don’t think it is,” Adam said. “Scott did know India, she’s from Manchester so they have crossed paths before. And like Scott said on the show, Ekin-Su slid into his DMs,” he added, laughing. “Why does he get all the DMs? I get nothing!”

Before going into the villa, 36 year old Scott spoke about his brother Adam’s happy marriage being one of the reasons he was heading back to Love Island looking for love. “My brother Adam and his wife Caroline, they have an amazing relationship,” he said. “I always say I want to find ‘my Caroline’. They are still madly in love.”

He also talked about why, as one of the oldest Islanders, he wanted to return to the show for a second time. “I’ve been on a massive journey over the last five years; I’ve been working on sobriety, personal growth, self development,” Scott said. “When I first went into the villa I was still a bit of a boy… I feel like I finally know who I am. It might sound cheesy but I’m ready to settle down and I’ve never been open to saying those words. Where better than Love Island?”

He also spoke about why the All Stars format of bringing previous Islanders together appealed to him. “It’s nice knowing that there’ll be some familiar faces in there. Hopefully it’ll be a good little vibe. Before you were starting from scratch, this time you have a bit of rapport,” he said.
