Love Island All Stars biggest transformations – from weight loss to hairstyles

-

The new series of Love Island All Stars is upon us and some of the cast have had a major makeover.

As favourites from past years go in search for romance once more, some have taken the bold move to change their appearance. Fans are eagerly awaiting the second series of the All Stars line-up to get underway as the famous faces head to South Africa for some winter sun.

The hit ITV show, which is again being hosted by Maya Jama, is said to see the stars earning far less than what they could likely command for an influential social media post. And it’s thought the entire cast are paid the same flat fee – meaning it doesn’t matter who is more popular among fans of the show, or who might have the biggest social media followers.

However, with love on the line, who has made the biggest change to their appearance in a bid to woo the housemates?

Series five favourite Curtis Pritchard left the Mallorcan villa with Maura Higgins as his partner. However, after eight months, the pair called it a day and the dancer is now back for a second stint. Ahead of his latest bid for romance, he has changed his looked significantly.

While he has changed his hairstyle, from wavy locks to a tighter finish, he also opened up on his weight loss journey. Unflattering images of before and after shots of Curtis were previously splashed across social media as trolls claimed he no longer resembled the buff six-pack sporting hunk in his promotional shots.

But ahead of the new series, he told the Mirror: “I’ve been hitting the gym as much as I possibly can. I did get fat-shamed in there. But you know what? I was on holiday. So when we’re on holiday let’s be honest we love to eat food, we love to relax and enjoy ourselves. I do that every time I’m away. I love my food. Maybe I enjoyed myself a little bit too much and ate a bit too much cheesecake.”

In the fourth series, Kaz Crossley made it all the way to the final with Josh Denzel. She had joined the show during Casa Amor but finished third, with Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham going on to win the show.

Kaz has since ditched her long brunette locks for a new stylish bleach blonde buzz cut. Explaining her new look last year, she revealed she shaved her head for charity after developing alopecia herself following a series of traumatic events.

“It’s weird for me to not have my hair but you know if it means that I take a bit of my confidence away to give these girls their confidence, then I’ll do that,” she said at the time. Her actions saw her raise more than £13,000 for a children’s hair loss charity.

Speaking to prior to the latest launch, Kaz revealed her dream islander. “People must say this all the time but Ovie is the fittest guy and I’ve said this all the time. I fancy him loads as well, but I don’t think he’s doing the show.

Last year series three star Gabby Allen detailed how she turned her life around and changed her unhealthy diet and career to become a health pin up. Sharing snaps on Instagram last September, she revealed that she felt unhealthy a decade ago after spending years working at a fast food establishment. She wrote: “I worked in a burger restaurant for years, literally eating two burgers a day because it was free and left more money for partying.”

Now, after becoming a fitness instructor, Gabby shows a muscly physique. “Building strength in my body is the driving force in my life. It makes me feel strong inside and out and I couldn’t do without it.”

She was once a last-minute bombshell, entering the villa late on in 2019. This time around, India Reynolds is expected to be among the original line-up – and she admits she has had Botox ahead of her second appearance.

She explained she has undergone Botox ahead of the show but wasn’t worried about hitting the gym. Speaking to The Mirror and other press ahead of the series, she said: “At 34-years-old, I am a fan of Botox so I had my Botox done and then I actually haven’t done other stuff. It’s been Christmas; I haven’t been in the gym.

“Christmas is not the time for the gym, Christmas is for eating and drinking. In terms of that, I haven’t been particularly preparing at all.”
