Daily Dhaka Times: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia’s return home from London has been deferred again, a BNP leader told. The BNP chief has been staying in London for two months since 16 September.
UK BNP president MA Malek said Khaleda is delaying her return as she is spending time with her family in London.
The BNP chief is having time with her elder son, Tarique Rahman first after her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko died. Family members of Koko are also there.
She will, however, return home in no time, the BNP leader added.
It has been understood after talking to a number of BNP leaders that Khaleda Zia will not return home before 20 November.
A BNP leader said Khaleda has delayed her return date due to Tarique Rahman’s birthday celebrations on 20 November.
Another BNP leader told Khaleda Zia will return home on 20 November. A ticket has already been booked for her return on 20 November, the BNP leader added.
Earlier on 15 September, BNP chairperson left Dhaka for London in a three-week visit.
She was supposed to return home after the three-week visit in London, but her date of return has been delayed for several times.
The BNP chief has been staying at her elder son Tarique Rahman’s house in London.
