Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Ltd (JGTDSL), a subsidiary of Petrobangla, disclosed that it generated a total revenue of Tk 7,286.11 crore by selling 3,817.226 million cubic meters (MMCM) of gas during the fiscal year 2024-25. The company contributed Tk 230.36 crore to the government exchequer through debt service liability (DSL), dividends, income tax, and import duties.
This information was revealed during the 39th annual general meeting (AGM) of JGTDSL held at Petrocenter in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, as per an official statement. The AGM was chaired by JGTDSL Chairman Md Ziaul Huq, who is an additional secretary to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division. Md Rezanur Rahman, the chairman of Petrobangla, and other stakeholders such as shareholders, directors, the managing director, and general managers of the company were also present at the meeting.
