Fortnite Mechagodzilla and Kong – release time, price and every Monsterverse item in the new bundle

-

Some new Fortnite Mechagodzilla and Kong skins are coming to the game’s Item Shop to join the arrival of the new on-map boss and secret skin Godzilla.

The Monsterverse has made it to Fortnite, and we couldn’t be happier. After mountains of crossovers across pop culture, it’s finally time for the beasts of the kaiju cinematic universe to arrive in Fortnite, following the 33.20 update going live, being somehow the last game to bag the King of the Monsters and their giant compatriots. Better late than never, I guess?

The Godzilla secret skin is finally open for players to peek inside at its cosmetics, and players are preparing to tear through quests to bag every glider, emote and skin – but there’s more to be seen over on the Item Shop, it seems. Godzilla isn’t the only kaiju coming to the Battle Royale, as Fortnite Mechagodzilla and Kong skins are officially on the way to the Item Shop too, along with a massive collection of other Monsterverse cosmetics joining the recently added Hatsune Miku bundle. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Fortnite Mechagodilla and Kong skins.

As reported by Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR on Twitter, we can expect the Fortnite Mechagodzilla and Kong skins to arrive in the Item Shop at 7pm EST / 4pm PST on Thursday, January 16, and 12am GMT on Friday, January 17 for players in the UK. We can expect that the cosmetics will be present in the Item Shop for a few days before leaving, so snatch them up before they do, or you’ll be waiting for a return that could never happen.

As revealed by reputable Fortnite leaker Hypex on YouTube, here’s everything coming in the new bundle of cosmetics:

Mechogodzilla Outfit – 1,800 V-Bucks

Kong Outfit – 1,500 V-Bucks

B.E.A.S.T. Armorplate Back Bling – Included with Kong Outfit

Proton Exo-Boosters Back Bling – Included with Mechagodilla Outfit

Kong’s Battle Axe Pickaxe – 800 V-Bucks

Proton Drill Pickaxe – 800 V-Bucks

Cybernetic Scream Wrap – 500 V-Bucks

Roar Power Wrap – 500 V-Bucks

B.E.A.S.T. Glove Emote – 400 V-Bucks

Hypex reveals in the video’s comments that the entire bundle of cosmetics will cost 2,800 V-Bucks in total, offering a huge saving of 3,500 V-Bucks. If you want to pick up the cosmetics from an empty wallet, your best bet is to pick up a pack of 2,800 V-Bucks from the Item Shop, which will cost you £17.49 / $22.99 / AU$30.35.

It’s a great collection of cosmetics – I just hope you’ve got enough V-Bucks in your wallet after you pick up the Hatsune Miku collection. We definitely don’t.
