Five police members kept in hospital quarantine

Their reports on detecting Covid-19 infection were negative and they were in good physical condition at the moment

Five police personnel have been under observation or quarantine at Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital (CPH). They were admitted there with coronavirus symptoms.

According to the CPH authorities, samples from  the five patients were sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), but their reports on detecting Covid-19 infection were negative and they were in good physical condition at the moment.

Dr Md Emdadul Haque, Superintendent of Police at CPH,  told Dhaka Tribune the policemen had visited the hospital several times with seasonal flu, cold and “as per government order we collected samples from them and their family members for testing for coronavirus.”

Dr Md Emdadul Haque said the reports provided by  IEDCR said the police members were not infected with Covid-19, but they were being kept in quarantine for 14 days according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
