Filmmaker Raihan Rafi has finally unveiled the cast of his highly anticipated supernatural film “Andhar” during a recent episode of Geek Myth’s podcast. Siam Ahmed is set to play Detective Delwar, Chanchal Chowdhury as Shamsher, Nazifa Tushi as Nadia, Mostofa Monwar as Inspector Monowar, Farrukh Ahmed Rehan as Himel, Afsana Mimi as Hazera Khatun, Gazi Rakayet as Halal, Swarnali Choity as Maya, and Tanzika Amin as Piya in the upcoming movie.
The podcast, hosted by Shakib Chowdhury from Cryptic Fate, who is one of the writers of “Andhar,” revealed that the screenplay was co-written by Bassbaba Sumon of Aurthohin and Adnan Adib Khan. Shakib emphasized that the film would be a horror narrative deeply intertwined with Bangladeshi culture, incorporating elements of mystery, thriller, murder, and emotion rather than relying solely on conventional jump-scare tactics commonly found in Western horror films.
Aside from the star-studded cast, the film also features a talented crew, including Sumon Sarker as Director of Photography (DOP), Shihab Nurun Nabi as Art Director, Mohammad Tarek as Makeup and Hair Artist, Anika Zareen as Costume Designer, Sworna Bhoumick as Prosthetic Artist, Ahsan Habib Shawon as VFX Supervisor, and Arafat Mohsin Nidhi as the Film Composer.
