Eastern Housing Limited, a publicly traded company involved in real estate development in Bangladesh, has declared a 25 percent cash dividend for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2025. The dividend announcement took place during the company’s 61st annual general meeting (AGM), which was conducted virtually and disclosed through a press release. Manzurul Islam, the chairman of Eastern Housing Limited, led the meeting as the key participant.
The company disclosed a net sales figure of Tk 303.08 crore, an increase from Tk 274.99 crore in the previous year. Furthermore, the net profit after tax surged to Tk 77.22 crore from Tk 56.38 crore in the prior year. The earnings per share (EPS) reached Tk 8.27, in comparison to Tk 6.06 in the preceding fiscal period.
Among the attendees at the meeting were Suraiya Islam, Abu Luthfe Fazle Rahim Khan, Abdur Rahim Choudhury, and Mostafizur Rahman, who are directors of the company; Md Rafiqul Islam, Muhammad Shahidul Islam Khan, and Lutfa Begum, who serve as independent directors; Dhiraj Malakar, the managing director; Salim Ahmed, the company secretary; Md Asadul Islam, the chief financial officer; and numerous shareholders.
