Coronavirus: Building under lockdown in Bashundhara

The patient has a total of four members in her family

A building has been put under lockdown in Dhaka’s Bashundhara Residential Area, Block D, after a resident tested positive for Covid-19.

Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Monday afternoon, Golam Faruk, inspector (operations) of Vatara police station, said: “The one who tested positive for coronavirus is a middle aged housewife. She is currently undergoing treatment at the Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in Uttara.

“Once we were notified about the coronavirus patient on Sunday night, we told all the residents of the building to stay put and not come out. We are constantly monitoring everything to ensure that no one enters or comes out of the building.

“The patient has a total of four members in her family. They are inside the building now,” Faruk added.
