“Conscience Flotilla Navigates Storms, Defies Threats for Gaza Mission”

-

The Conscience Flotilla, part of the ongoing series of humanitarian voyages to Gaza, persists on its voyage despite storm alerts and reports of assaults on ships up ahead, as per Bangladeshi activist and photojournalist Shahidul Alam’s latest update. Shahidul, from the upper deck, shared through a recent Facebook post how the vessel’s captain sped through the storm last night to outpace the hazardous weather conditions. “The captain increased our speed to keep ahead of the storm. The storm and lightning have passed, and the rain has ceased,” Shahidul remarked while providing updates from the largest and final ship in the flotilla. Despite lagging behind the other vessels, Shahidul affirmed the mission’s unwavering determination, stating, “We are steadfast on our course to Gaza, undaunted by these threats. We are committed to breaking the blockade. Palestine will achieve freedom.” Shahidul, as the primary representative from Bangladesh, has joined the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) with the goal of challenging the blockade in Gaza, which is grappling with a severe food shortage, and delivering essential humanitarian assistance.
