Chhatra Dal Leader Dies from Electrocution

A leader of Chhatra Dal in Noakhali passed away due to electrocution while receiving medical care at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) earlier today. The deceased, identified as Enamul Haque, 22, previously served as the president of Ward No 8 Chhatra Dal in Kabirhat Municipality.

The tragic incident occurred at approximately 11:00am on November 15 in an unfinished building in Kabirhat Bazar of the upazila. Enamul, who worked as a technician for Thai aluminum, was electrocuted while working at the construction site.

Upon the accident, locals promptly rescued him and rushed him to Kabirhat Upazila Health Complex for initial treatment. Subsequently, he was transferred to the burn unit at DMCH for further medical intervention.

Mostafizur Rahman Monju, the convenor of Kabirhat Pouro BNP (Municipal BNP), verified the details to The Daily Star. Md Shahin Mia, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Kabirhat Police Station, mentioned that appropriate measures would be taken if the family of the deceased lodged a complaint.
