BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman to Visit Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and NCP Convener

BNP Chairman, Tarique Rahman, plans to visit the residences of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman and National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam today. The BNP Media Cell revealed that Tarique will start by calling on the Jamaat leader and then proceed to Nahid’s home. Shafiqur Rahman resides in Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital city, while Nahid Islam’s residence is situated on Bailey Road. The visit schedule was arranged after consultations with Jamaat and NCP representatives, as per sources from the BNP Media Cell. Tarique’s purpose in visiting is to extend post-election courtesies to them. In a recent address, the BNP chief stressed the importance of national unity, peaceful behavior, and upholding the rule of law as key elements for the country’s reconstruction post their party’s electoral win. During a speech at a hotel in Dhaka, he emphasized that the victory is a result of the people’s support and promised to focus on reviving institutions and enhancing the lives of citizens. Tarique also called on all political factions to unite for the nation’s benefit, cautioning against actions that could weaken democracy.
