“Bayern Munich Aims for 15th Consecutive Win Amid Tight Schedule”

-

Bayern Munich, under the leadership of coach Vincent Kompany, remains focused on their upcoming Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen despite a tight schedule of three games in seven days. The Bavarians are aiming for a 15th consecutive victory in all competitions this season as they prepare to face Leverkusen at home before heading to Paris to play in the Champions League.

Kompany emphasized the significance of the match against Leverkusen, highlighting the historical rivalry between the two teams. Leverkusen, who were unbeaten champions in 2024 and runners-up last season, are currently on a league-record 37-match unbeaten streak in away games and sit in fifth place with 17 points, while Bayern leads the title race with 24 points.

Despite Leverkusen’s recent success under new coach Kasper Hjulmand and the challenges posed by their strong attacking prowess, Kompany expressed confidence in his team’s ability to maintain their winning momentum. He acknowledged Leverkusen’s transformation after selling several key players in the offseason but emphasized Bayern’s readiness to face any challenges posed by their opponents.

Bayern’s remarkable winning streak this season has already set a new record for clubs in Europe’s major leagues, surpassing AC Milan’s previous record of 13 consecutive wins in the 1992-93 campaign. Kompany recognized Leverkusen’s resurgence under their new coach and the threat they pose in the Bundesliga, emphasizing the need for Bayern to remain vigilant and focused on securing another victory in their upcoming match.
