Visitors without any banking purpose should be discouraged on banks’ premises
Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday asked scheduled banks to maintain safe distance among its clients and officials on the premises of banks as per the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
Visitors without any banking purpose should be discouraged on banks’ premises, said the notice of the central bank issued on the same day.
In this regard, banks could seek assistance from local administration, if necessary, the notice effective immediately, added.
“It is noticed that clients, visitors, recipients of various allowances and bank officials-employees are not maintaining a certain distance after getting banks. The trend prompted the central bank to issue such a notice,” said a high official of the Bangladesh Bank.
