The film “Dot,” presented in English, premiered in cinemas across Bangladesh on September 5. Following its successful launch, the movie is now gearing up to captivate audiences in the United States.
Director Barua Sunanda Kakon announced that the much-anticipated release of “Dot” is scheduled for November 7 at AMC Universal Studios in California. Post the premiere in California, the film is slated for screenings across 15 states in the US, as confirmed by the filmmaker.
“Dot” narrates a compelling tale of love, emotions, and the challenges faced by individuals residing near riverbanks. Produced by Barua Monojit Dhiman and Mohammad Delwar Hossain, the film delves into the harsh realities of human trafficking and women’s struggles, drawing inspiration from real-life incidents. With a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes, the screenplay was meticulously crafted after thorough research. To cater to a diverse audience, the dialogues are presented in English.
The ensemble cast for “Dot” features actors from the Group Theatre, including Barua Monojit Dhiman, Misti Moni, Pari, Rajibul Islam, Sonia Parvin Shapla, Mamun, Mostafizur Rahman, among others.
