The Bangladesh women’s cricket team is set for a busy schedule ahead, starting with a tour of India in December as part of the ICC Women’s Future Tours Programme (FTP), according to officials from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The BCB officials have confirmed that they have received a request from the host board to prepare for departure on either December 14 or 15. While the detailed itinerary is still being finalized, the tour is expected to include three ODIs and three T20Is, in line with the FTP calendar.
“We will soon kick off preparations for the upcoming India tour,” mentioned a player from the team.
In addition, BCB officials noted that the new women’s FTP cycle will kick off with Bangladesh’s tour of India. The ODI segment of the series will mark the beginning of the ICC Women’s ODI Championship campaign for the Bangladesh team, known as the Tigresses.
Following the India tour, the team will focus on the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers set for January-February. A tour by Sri Lanka to Bangladesh is also on the cards for April next year.
Looking further ahead, as per the FTP schedule, the Tigresses are slated to tour Australia in October and New Zealand in December 2026. This jam-packed schedule sets the stage for an intense and crucial year ahead for the national team.
