Bangladesh Cricketers Shoriful and Sohan Set for Swift Recovery

-

Shoriful Islam, the fast bowler, and Nurul Hasan Sohan, the wicketkeeper-batter, are on track to recover in time for Bangladesh’s upcoming three-game home T20I series against Ireland later this month, as indicated by team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan.

Both players sustained injuries during the recent T20I match against the West Indies in Chattogram. Sohan twisted his right ankle, while Shoriful suffered a strained right hamstring.

“Sohan’s recovery period is estimated to be approximately three weeks, while Shoriful may require two to three weeks,” shared physio Bayjedul with The Daily Star on Monday. He also confirmed that scans showed no fractures in Sohan’s ankle.

Sohan has already commenced his rehabilitation process, while Shoriful is set to begin his from Thursday onwards.

The T20I series is scheduled to be held at Chattogram’s Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Flt Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium on November 27, 29, and December 2.
