“Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 Winners Announced”

Bangla Academy has revealed the awardees selected for the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 in recognition of their achievements in eight different categories this year. The announcement was made public through a press release issued today.

The recipients of this year’s awards will be officially honored at the opening ceremony of the Amar Ekushey Grantha Mela (book fair) 2026 on Thursday, February 26, as per the press statement.

The individuals recognized for their outstanding contributions in various sectors include Mohon Raihan for Poetry, Nasima Anis for Fiction, Syed Azizul Haque for Essays/Prose, Hasan Hafiz for Children’s Literature, Ali Ahmad for Translation, Mustafa Majid and Israel Khan for Research, Farseem Mannan Mohammedy for Science, and Maidul Hasan for Liberation War.

The press release highlighted that the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 was approved by the academy’s executive council based on the recommendations of the nomination committee and the decision of the award committee.

It was also mentioned that the awards ceremony will take place on February 26 at the book fair organized by Bangla Academy, where Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be presenting the awards to the recipients.
