Aryan Khan’s first directorial project, “The Ba**ds of Bollywood,” has made a significant impact on Netflix by securing a spot in the platform’s Top 10 rankings worldwide. The satirical drama, which premiered on September 18, has been consistently performing well and gained considerable attention.
The series, known for its critical take on the glamour and extravagance of Bollywood, boasts a talented ensemble cast that includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, and Gautami Kapoor. Moreover, notable figures like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh have made cameo appearances, portraying fictionalized versions of themselves.
“The Ba**ds of Bollywood” has not only dominated viewership in India but has also claimed the top spot on Netflix in seven countries, including India, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Mauritius, Oman, Pakistan, and the UAE. According to FlixPatrol, the series ranked ninth globally on Monday and has been consistently performing well, maintaining its position in the Top 10.
In India, the show continues to attract a significant audience, surpassing other popular titles. Ormax Media reported that it garnered 4.5 million views last week, almost doubling the viewership of Kajol’s “The Trial,” which secured the second position.
While the success of “The Ba**ds of Bollywood” is evident, it faces stiff competition from Netflix’s leading show “Billionaires’ Bunker,” a new Spanish thriller created by the team behind “Money Heist.” Additionally, South Korea’s fantasy romance “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty” currently holds the second position on the charts.
Despite the competitive landscape, Aryan Khan’s directorial debut has quickly gained global acclaim as a streaming sensation, sparking discussions due to its sharp satire and star-studded appearances.
