Amar Ekushey book fair: IPDC provides interest-free book loan


One can borrow up to Tk3,000

Private lender IPDC Finance Ltd has introduced first ever interest-free book loan titled “Subodh” at Amar Ekushey Book Fair being hold in the capital, aimed to inspire booklovers and new generation buying new books.

One can avail up to Tk3,000 loan and pay back with three installments, said a press release. 

With the slogan “Notun boiyer ghrane, subodh jaguk prane”, IPDC launched the product at Bangla Academy premises on Monday.

IPDC Managing Director and CEO Mominul Islam, prominent singer of the band Souls Partha Barua, Robi 10 Minute School’s Arif R Hossain were present, among others, in the launching ceremony.

The loan facility can be enjoyed during the country’s largest book fair, throughout February. 

To avail the loan, one will need National ID card and bkash app only.

All information and help related service is available at the IPDC booth at the fair venue. Besides, a person can also take instant loan from the booth.

About the offer, Mominul Islam said, “To bring back the habit of reading among young generation, IPDC has brought the offer. We hope ‘Subodh’ will help people buy books of their favourite writers.”
