28 houses gutted in Rampura fire


The fire broke out early Monday

Twenty-eight houses have been gutted in a fire that broke out in Rampura’s Mohanagar Project area in Dhaka.

Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense control room, said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit around 1:28am on Monday and spread soon. 

On information, six firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 2:21am, reports the UNB. 

She said 28 houses were gutted in the fire, and the loss has been estimated to be Tk5 lakh.

No causality was reported.
