SM Ashraful Islam, Chief Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) handed the certificates to the journalists at Creative IT’s head office in Dhanmondi.
ICT division’s Additional Secretary Harun-ur-Rashid ad Creative IT’s Chairman Md. Monir Hossain were present at the ceremony, among others.
It was said in the ceremony that Creative IT received almost two hundred applications for their free freelancing course for journalists when it was announced last March.
Off them, 30 journalists were selected to participate in the training. The company has finally handed over the certificates this Monday.
The free course gave the journalists ideas on the concepts of blogging, graphics design, email marketing, video marketing and outsourcing.
16 disabled participants of a separate graphics design course were also awarded certificates at the ceremony.
They were trained free of cost under corporate social responsibility (CSR) and Creative IT itself employed them.
